Professor Pasha has focused his teaching and research in comparative and global political economy, international relations, Islamic studies and South Asia. He is the author of several publications including International Relations and the New Inequality (co-editor; Blackwell 2002), Colonial Political Economy: State-Building and Underdevelopment in the Punjab (Oxford University Press 1998), Out From Underdevelopment Revisited: Changing Global Structures and the Remaking of the Third World (with James H. Mittelman; Macmillan, 1997) and has published articles in numerous leading journals, namely Alternatives , Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science , Commonwealth and Comparative Politics , Millennium , The European Journal of Development Research , Global Society: Journal of Interdisciplinary International Relations , Journal of Developing Societies , and Studies in Comparative International Development . His current research concentrates on Islam and International Relations, Civil Society, the cultural impact of globalization, and comparative political economy of South Asia.
