 研究課題：
コンピュータネットワークの管理・運用・理学的応用
コンピュータネットワークは、コンピュータが本来担う演算そのものの他、情報の蓄積、整形、通信といった多岐に渡る役割を担っている。こういった機能を十分に利用する為には、管理・運用に関わる問題と実際の利用により生じる課題とを、総合的に理解する事が重要である。地域研究においても、フィールドと大学の間でのシームレスな環境の構築など、管理者側と利用者側双方で考えるべき多くの課題が存在しており、そういった地域研究のツールとしてのコンピュータネットワークについて、管理、情報の集積、数値シミュレーションなど、実際に運用・使用した視点から考察を行っている。
